Warstones Wanderers Soccer School
‘Making a Difference’
The school was formed in September 2005 by two co-ordinators with two coaches at the helm and twelve boys.
Over the past twenty-six months it has grown to fourteen coaches and an average of sixty boys. We have recently started a girl’s section which has a total of twelve girls at the moment. Ages range from 4-7 years for the boys, and 8-11 years for the girls section.
The children are drawn from across Wolverhampton. Already the school has produced five teams, all of a good standard. Our coaches come from many walks of life: headmasters, teachers, churchwardens, works managers, police officers and many others. They all give up their Saturday mornings to coach the kids.
The aim of the school is to set up teams for all abilities and to provide fitness and exercise through football, taking the children away from TV, computers and play stations and getting them out into the fresh air.
